Overseas Facebook Support Groups – The Master List for Europe

Welcome to the MOST comprehensive list of military support Facebook pages for Europe!  If you are moving or traveling to Europe or just want to know what’s going on military-wise in Europe, see below.  I am always updating and revising the list below.  If you are a servicemember or a spouse of a servicemember or even a civilian assigned or traveling overseas, I bet you can find a support page below.  These pages are a great place to get first hand information about life overseas.  If you don’t see your community listed below, be sure to let me know, so I can add it!

I’ve seen these pages help people in need.  I am reminded of a wife who skidded into a ditch with her car, and the first thing she thought of and had the contact information for, was the Facebook page for her community.  Someone on the page helped her get a reputable tow truck almost immediately.  I’ve also seen someone who needed a vital ingredient for her dish, with guests coming on the way, and another member in her community offering up the goods.  Many of these pages are vibrant and active and have members who really help one another.  Looking for a hotel recommendation?  How about a place to eat?  Or where can you get your dog groomed?  Every question you can think of gets answered in some way.

This list is in somewhat random order, but I have tried to group countries and areas together!  I’ve also included some “official” community and organizational links towards the bottom, so don’t forget to check that area.  I say official because they were most likely drummed up by the people in charge at those organizations and communities, but I have not personally gone and checked each one nor will I.  Keep in mind don’t take anything you read on any of these newsfeeds as the final word on any policy…..even the “official” ones.  Unless you read it in an official document officially put out by that organization through normal channels, you are just reading someone’s opinion and recommendation…much like I do on my blog:-)

And lastly, PLEASE don’t EVER post any personal information to any of these groups. There is no way for the moderators to regulate who joins.  You could have Osama bin Laden’s brother himself joining the group and reading and tracking what you say.  Never post any identifying information as to where you live, your phone number, car type, route to work/school/play, where you hang out or when you will not be at home, I don’t care how great that vacation deal is.  Dont talk about your husband’s rank or unit or when he comes home, leaves or God forbid deploys!  Some things you should keep to yourself in the interest of personal safety and security (PERSEC).  If you make a deal to buy something (or sell something), as many of these groups allow that or have off-shoot groups for advertising, make the smart choice and meet the person in a public place, preferably on-post.  Only exchange cell phone numbers right before you meet if absolutely needed.  I like to meet people in the lobby of our library to exchange goods myself.  You find yourself a good place too.  Oh, and let me know if I missed some pages or groups.  I probably did.  I’m always updating the list!

I’d love to be added! Facebook page for my blog – an air force wife in Italy :)

Got it! It’s already on the list!

  3. sade says:

Are there any blogs or groups for people in the UK? I will be PCSing in March and I have yet to find something. Thanks

  4. sade says:

I am really looking for blogs just to get a sense of what life is like.

  5. Veteran Military Wife at Life Lessons of a Military Wife says:

I have only found one…and it has not been updated in years, so I have dismissed it! Be the first!

  6. Amanda says:

One of the most active groups for the Naples, Italy area is: Living Abroad in Naples, Italy on Facebook. I am a Navy wife and started the group several years ago. It is primarily military folks and we have a very active user base of 1600 members. The group was critical during last week’s trucker strike! I have also kept a personal blog for almost 4 years now called

  7. Celeste says:

Please add this one for Naples, Italy. Naples Overseas Spouses’ Club is a community support group for the whole community. Please note that despite the acronym, it is not only for officers and not only for spouses.
You can also find the group at

  8. Celeste says:

This facebook page is the official EFMP page for Navy Region Europe, Africa, Southwest Asia. It provides family support info relevant to families with special needs in the region, as well as families considering a PCS to the region. There are very few resources in this region for families with special needs… this is one of the few localized online resources.

  9. Veteran Military Wife at Life Lessons of a Military Wife says:

Thank you all! I’ve added all the European pages above. Celeste, I encourage you to connect with some SW Asia blogs that may be out there! Thanks for letting us know you are out there!

  10. sade says:

I guess I will revamp my old blog for the UK then!

  11. Val Humbard says:

  12. Christine says:

  13. admin says:

    Thanks Christine!

  14. Nicole Hale says:

I am looking for a website that allows me to advertise for military spouses. For example, I am an Admissions Advisor an online school using the DOD MYCAA Grant, and I advertise it for military spouses. HOwever, many pages won’t allow me to advertise my info, but they don’t even give me a chance to ecplain what it is. Anyone know what pages are avail for me to advertise? I only want to advertise to MilSpouses. Thanks!!!

  15. admin says:

Gonna be honest with you. Difficult at best! I have seen so many postings on MYCAA that I think now any postings will be considered spam in most circles….even though I know they are not meant as such. All I can recommend is to read the rules for each Facebook group you want to write a blurb on, and if it allows advertising, to kindly ask the moderator if it would be ok.

  16. Jesse Granger says:

Would be honored if you would add the U.S. Army Europe – (USAREUR) Facebook page ( to this great collection of resources! Thanks for the info!

  17. Jesse Granger says:

Oops! Yep, there it is! :) Thanks!

  18. admin says:

I was just about to say, there was no way I forgot that one! You guys are great….also your Twitter handle at @USArmyEurope!

  19. Angela Roy says:

I have a couple for you! :D Let me grab the links!
Great for Stateside & Overseas (New writers include Alaska & Korea!)

    Graf/Vilseck Coupon Group

    Graf/Vilseck Army Wives

And I may not blog about Germany but my Instagram is fun to follow for pictures around here (not as good as yours lol)

  20. admin says:

Thanks Angela! I’ll add them when I get a chance.

We may have to do an Instagram thing…if I can find more spouses in Germany…that would be a fun post too! I too enjoy seeing what everyone else is up to over here!

  21. admin says:

But then again…to see your name “in lights” with “private” photos…hmmmm….may have to rethink that! Maybe I’ll just share that over on the FB page….do you mind if I mention your Instagram there?

  22. Angela Roy says:

    Not at all :)

Ps- Was just hired on at to write on the Commissary/PX deals here in Germany, so may want to follow that blog/facebook/instagram for coupon information too.

  23. Sarah says:

    Three things;

Great List! Thank you for putting it together!

If you would like to add the GermanyJa Page and Group facebook, we’d be honored. Thanks!
